Hi, I’m MISSY.

Growing up, I was raised by the ultimate Life Coach, my dad. I was a fortunate kid to be loved first, always supported, and modeled resiliency by example. He called it “breaking life into manageable pieces” and this approach charted my course for regulated waters as I grew. Coaching kids and women is as natural and important for me as it gets!

Now, I have combined my developmental history, life experiences and professional training, earning two certifications with Adventures In Wisdom™ and the Arizona Trauma Institute, and will use them to coach your children or you, on how to manage day-to-day living with intention, self-awareness, and self-regulation. These tools are the secret to not just “getting thru life” but living life happily!

Mindset Coaching for Kids is giving them the tools to manage the “ups-and-downs” of growing up and learning to genuinely love themselves. Trauma-informed Coaching for Women is about revealing your understanding of how trauma, toxic stress and adversity have hijacked your nervous system and then learning that you can absolutely listen to your body, rewrite your story, and live the life you choose. You ARE a Shero!

Together, we can generate action steps for healing and growth. I’m so excited to help you rediscover your competencies to thrive. The resilience you require is already inside!

WHY DO I WANT TO COACH YOUR KID?
Here’s my “why”:

When my daughter was 12, midway through 7th grade, I watched her melt before my eyes. Her sparkly blue eyes dulled to gray, and fear took over her once-confident face. The lively, joyful girl who loved school, dance, theater, and time with friends began to retreat. Her posture drooped, and sadness drained her energy. I begged her to come out of her room and I fought like a warrior to uncover any medical cause for her sudden shut-down.

Looking back, I realized I was clinging to the parts of her that seemed happy but ignoring her growing insecurities, fear of separation, and drive for impossible perfection. I missed that while she was evolving she was struggling with self-doubt, and losing faith in herself. As parents, we often see what we want to see, driven by love but also by our own fears and beliefs. Without meaning to, we may ask our children to suppress parts of themselves and this can add unintentional pressure at a time when they need support the most.

Today, my daughter is 22. She’s resilient and pursuing her dreams, though she still faces challenges like everyone else. She’s constantly learning how to care for her whole self—body and mind. Reflecting on those difficult years, I feel immense gratitude, but I’ll never forget the hopelessness, fear, and exhaustion I felt. If I can help ANY parent navigate similar strife BEFORE their child “hits their wall,” I am going to do it.

This is why I am overjoyed to have found the Adventures in Wisdom™ program and become a WISDOM® Coach in combination with my Trauma and Resilience Life Coach certification.
